ABOUT THE AREA
Ponce De Leon first discovered Biscayne Bay in 1513 and gave it the name Santa Marta. The Everglades National Park service declared Biscayne Bay a national park in 1980. Biscayne Bay is a lagoon that extends from Miami all the way south to the Northern Part of the Key Largo. It is located on the Atlantic coast that close to 35 miles long and up to 8 miles wide. The bay is home to a variety of shallow water species such as the highly sought after Bonefish and Permit. The 35-mile long lagoon has pristine waters and sandy grass bottom that makes it home for many species of fish. If you are looking to go toe to fin with some of the best bonefish and permit that swim the southern part of Florida then give me a call and lets get you on the water to make that happen!
